The marketing director wanted me to make a large switch to be used at the opening ceremony for “Power Up!”, a large exhibit at the MSC about electricity.

So I started digging around in the scrap bins, hoping to get an idea. I found a long piece of brass stock, and that led me to the rather obvious conclusion: what we needed was a big, honkin’ Frankenstein switch.

The “switch” was thrown by some local children while the exhibit techs waited in the shadows at the real breakers. I wasn’t there, but I heard everything went as planned.

You can see the switch on the wall behind a man I can only assume is a well-known local football player.
