At the Navy Museum, we did a temporary exhibit called Twin Destinies. This exhibit was designed by my good friend Gloria Anderson.
We designed a new frame to deal with the curved wall that you can see in the first slide. Basically, it’s a shadow box with hinge-mounted attachments that will conform to the curved wall and allow for easy mounting irrespective of the curvature. Once the frame is mounted, the front panel is easily slipped into place where it rests on a v-block. The graphics are printed on 1/2-inch Sintra and attached from behind.
When a new exhibit is needed, the frames can be repainted, rearranged, and fitted with new graphics for another go.
