WordFall is thousands of linked-together paperclips wrapped in bits of paper onto which are printed words. The artists wanted to present these paper-clip chains as if they were water going over small falls.
The first slide shows an early prototype for the mounts. It’s basically ¼ of a PVC pipe attached to a board. The paper clips hang from small pins distributed along the upper surface of the PVC pipe. You just see one of the pins on the prototype. This worked out so well that the final mounts differed little from this first approach.
The second slide shows the final installation from the front. The third slide shows a side view in which the mounts are visible.
