PTC
(Phenylthiocarbamide)
This display was about the genetic variation that causes some people to be PTC tasters and others to lack the ability. Very basically, this genetic variation has a lot to do with how certain vegetables taste to you (especially cruciferous vegetables). The display shows how your taste buds react to PTC based on your genetics. I did the technical design and constructed the taste buds. The circuit that made the display go can be seen here.
